Job Title: Financial Strategist
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced financial strategist to lead our finance and accounts team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, monitor, and update the organization's annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts.
* Analyze financial performance, highlight variances, and recommend corrective actions.
* Provide management with financial insights and advice to support strategic decisions.
* Conduct cost-benefit analysis for new projects, investments, and partnerships.
Accounting and Reporting:
* Oversee day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.
* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards (ifrs/gaap).
* Ensure timely reconciliation of bank accounts, ledgers, and other financial records.
* Monitor cash flow and working capital requirements to maintain operational efficiency.
Compliance and Audit:
* Ensure compliance with taxation laws, corporate regulations, and statutory reporting requirements.
* Liaise with external auditors, banks, tax authorities, and regulatory agencies.
* Implement strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and minimize risks.
* Stay updated with changes in accounting standards, taxation, and legal frameworks that impact the business.
Leadership and Team Management:
* Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounts team to enhance their skills and productivity.
* Assign clear roles, set performance objectives, and conduct regular performance reviews.
* Promote a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations across the business.
