Principal Cybersecurity - Emerging Technologies
Job Description:
As a Principal Cybersecurity Specialist, you will be responsible for shaping the security strategy and architecture for emerging technologies in modern mining operations and the resource value chain.
You will work closely with the Head of Digital Trust to ensure that cutting-edge solutions delivered by the business are safe, resilient, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement security roadmaps for emerging technologies such as AI/ML, IoT, robotics, blockchain, and geophysical technology used in exploration, extraction, processing, and logistics.
* Lead design reviews and threat modeling for new deployments of emerging technologies, including autonomous haul trucks, smart sensors, and AI-driven ore-grade prediction.
* Collaborate with cybersecurity architects, OT engineers, and data scientists to develop secure design practices for emerging technologies.
* Identify and evaluate emerging cybersecurity tools, such as AI model-watermarking and zero-trust micro-segmentation for IoT.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* 12+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with 5+ years securing OT/ICS or large-scale industrial environments.
* Demonstrated leadership of security architecture or R&D programs covering at least two of: AI/ML, IoT/IIoT, autonomous robotics, blockchain, or advanced sensing.
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cyber Security, Computer Science, or related discipline.
* Certifications such as CISSP, GIAC GICSP, ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Expert, CCSK/CCSP, Certified AI Security Professional (CAISP), or equivalent.
