OverviewStocktake Assistant - Nth Qld TownsvilleAre you an early bird looking for casual employment?
This role involves visiting various Woolworths, Woolworths Metro, Big W, Dan Murphys & BWS sites across the North / Central Queensland area to conduct stock counts and enter data into a handheld device.
The work is active and involves standing for long periods.ResponsibilitiesAccurate counting of stock in accordance with company guidelines, time frames and targets.Work cooperatively in a team environment and abide by company OH&S; and Food Safety policies.Enter stock count data into handheld devices accurately.Qualifications & RequirementsDemonstrate competent written and verbal communication skills with a sound mathematical ability.Hold a current driver's licence and have access to your own vehicle.Reliable attendance and strong work ethic; ability to perform repetitive tasks.Positive attitude; able to work versatile casual schedule (primarily 6:00 AM starts; some evenings/late nights).
Ability to travel on trips away for up to four nights, with twin-share accommodation provided by Woolworths at times; must possess a vehicle and current licence to transport yourself within the Townsville region.Pre-employment physical check may be required.Work Hours & TravelThe casual role typically starts at 6:00 AM from Monday to Thursday with occasional Fridays, approximately 18 hours per week, and a team that works about 36 weeks per year.
There may be opportunities to source work within supermarkets during certain periods.
Finishing time varies between 1:30 PM and 3:00 PM depending on store size.Training & SupportOn-the-job training is provided by our dedicated team of trainers.
