Primary objective
Perform multiple and diverse ICT administrative tasks to support the delivery of responsive and client focused ICT services to client
agencies.
Context statement
ICT services are delivered to client agencies under a centralised services model across a geographically and culturally diverse environment.
The Technology Services unit provides a range of ICT services to enhance agencies' effective operation of digital environments, ensuring
alignment of ICT strategy in accordance with whole of Government policies and standards.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Maintain and promote Information and Communication Technology (ICT) policies and procedures to achieve best practice
delivery of information and services.
2. Provide customer support services, in a timely manner to client agencies including assisting staff in logging requests for the
creation or cessation of accounts, hardware, network and email access and other service requests as required and action requests
relevant to Resource Access Control Facility (RACF) and NTG Pay (Electronic Invoice Management System).
3. Assist with maintaining ICT services related databases, registers and job tracking systems, undertaking data entry when required.
4. Process ICT invoices and reimbursements in accordance with approved financial principles.
5. Work efficiently, both as a team member and independently to support the activities of the team and Branch.
6. Maintain own knowledge and understanding of relevant ICT processes and procedures to provide accurate information and
administrative support to staff in the team, client agency managers and employees.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Good understanding and practical working knowledge of customer focussed service delivery with the ability to provide quality ICT
advice.
2. Strong skills and background in processing ICT actions and providing general ICT support, with good computer literacy skills and
experience using various office applications, databases and systems.
3. Demonstrated interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact courteously with people at all levels
and from diverse cultures.
4. Good organisational and demonstrated problem solving skills to prioritise workload and the ability to work successfully under pressure
in a fast paced environment to meet deadlines.
5. Demonstrated drive, enthusiasm, commitment, and self-motivation to work with minimal supervision independently and in a team.
6. Understanding of the importance of maintaining high-level confidentiality when working on sensitive matters.
7. Demonstrated work ethic and attitude which emulates DCDD values of being professional, accountable, honest, innovative and
respectful.
Desirable
1. An understanding of the NTG IT environment, the different outsourced services and the service providers who maintain them.
2. Understanding of procurement processes and other NTG policies and procedures relating to Information Technology.
