About The Role

Ipswich City Council has multiple vacancies available for enthusiastic individuals seeking secure employment in the Ipswich area. We are seeking Field Workers and Leading Hands to join our Capital Delivery teams and contribute to building and maintaining vital infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
* Field Worker: Responsible for general labouring tasks including shovelling, spotting, concreting, and installing pipes and gully units. Operate small plant equipment such as quick‐cut saws, jackhammers, vibrating plates, and hammer drills.
* Leading Hand: Support field operations while leading the crew to ensure work is completed to quality standards. Conduct toolbox talks, complete WHS documentation, and oversee daily tasks to maintain safety and compliance on site.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

* Current C class drivers' licence
* General Safety Induction (Construction Industry) card
* Certificate 3 in Civil Construction or demonstrated construction knowledge and experience

These positions are full‐time permanent roles with a salary commencing at $68,049 for Field Workers and $74,110 for Leading Hands plus 12.5% superannuation.

* 9‐day fortnight: Every second weekend is a long weekend
