What You'll Be Doing
The primary purpose of the Clinical Coordinator - Adult Survivors Program is to provide advanced clinical, strategic, educational, and programmatic expertise and leadership in the establishment and implementation of NSW Health's new Adult Survivors Program – a specialist integrated program for adult survivors of child sexual abuse with complex needs.
The Adult Survivors Program aims to improve outcomes for adult survivors of child sexual abuse, with a particular focus on survivors of complex trauma with mental health and alcohol and other drug support needs. The program model takes a hybrid strategic-clinical approach.
This role will provide advanced leadership and advice on high-quality therapeutic and clinical practice with adult survivors that promotes an evidence-based shift towards flexible, responsive, needs-based and client-centred clinical practice and away from more traditional medical, diagnostic, treatment and referral approaches. This role is expected to hold a small client load to maintain clinical currency and will manage and supervise relevant clinical staff as local staffing for the new model is identified.

Selection Criteria
* Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Counselling or Welfare in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Professionals (State) Award and where applicable, membership of the relevant association or registration with the relevant board.
* Extensive post graduate clinical experience in trauma specific service provision with adult survivors of child sexual abuse with complex trauma and commitment to integrated ways of working with clients who have experienced trauma and abuse.
* Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, throughout all organisational levels.
* Proven ability to provide high level clinical advice and education to enhance service delivery including demonstrated capacity to provide clinical supervision around violence abuse and neglect issues, in addition to a demonstrated commitment to ongoing clinical and professional learning.
* Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, work in partnership with key stakeholders and to apply independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a complex nature.
* Ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with other staff. This includes working with minimal direction in an environment of organisational complexity, to establish a new, innovative service in line with NSW Health's organisational values and goals.
* Availability and capacity to participate in the district's 24-hour VAN Oncall/Disturbance roster to respond to crisis presentations.
* Evidence of a current unrestricted driver's licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.
