We are seeking a high-calibre Estimator / Scheduler who thrives on accuracy, structure, and accountability. This is a pivotal role within our business, directly influencing project profitability, programme control, and delivery outcomes.
This position will suit a confident construction professional who can take ownership of estimating and programming responsibilities, while also appealing to those ready to elevate their capability within a quality-focused environment.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Project and the ability to confidently manage live construction programmes is essential.
The Role
* Prepare accurate, detailed cost estimates and scope breakdowns
* Develop, manage, and actively drive construction programmes using Microsoft Project
* Critically review subcontractor and supplier quotes for completeness and commercial value
* Engage and negotiate with trades and suppliers
* Prepare and administer subcontract agreements and supporting documentation
* Align procurement activities with programme milestones
* Monitor financial performance against budget and programme
* Maintain structured, accurate estimating and contract records
This role requires someone who understands construction sequencing, identifies risk early, and ensures documentation and procurement are aligned with delivery strategy.
About You
* Proven experience in residential and/or commercial construction estimating
* Strong capability managing construction programmes using Microsoft Project
* Confident reviewing quotes, clarifying scope gaps, and negotiating with trades
* Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
* Clear, professional communicator with trades, consultants, and internal stakeholders
* Commercially astute with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
* Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines with discipline and structure
* You take ownership of your work, communicate clearly, and understand that precision in estimating and programming directly impacts project success.
