* 15 hours/week – Thursday and Friday, 07:30‐16:00; Saturday, 08:00‐11:00
* 27 hours/week – Monday to Wednesday, 08:00‐16:30; Saturday, 09:00‐13:00
* 18.5 hours/week – Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, 07:00‐18:00
What You Will Be Doing
As a Pathology Collector (Phlebotomist), you will collect blood and coordinate specimen samples from patients, providing excellent customer service and quality healthcare.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Collecting samples (blood and non‐blood) with care and attention
* Keeping meticulous records for every patient and sample
* Delivering documentation within strict turnaround times
* Preparing and packaging specimens for transport and testing
* Liaising with customers, clinic staff and couriers
What Type of Person Will Be Successful
Ideal candidates may have experience as a Pathology Collector, a Certificate III in Pathology Collection, a background in healthcare or a Registered Nurse looking for regular daytime shifts. No prior pathology collection experience is required if you possess strong customer service skills and a healthcare background; full paid training and mentoring will be provided.
Attributes & Skills
* Experience and knowledge in phlebotomy/Certificate III in Pathology Collection or a healthcare background
* Excellent customer service and communication skills with a high level of empathy
* Organised, with strong time management and attention to detail
* Ability to work autonomously, sometimes independently in a solo clinic
* Valid driver's licence and flexibility to travel to multiple clinics
* Holding or willingness to obtain a Working With Children Check (WWCC)
* Australian citizen, permanent resident, New Zealand citizen, or valid visa with permission to work
A valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required for this role. You must either hold an existing WWCC or be willing to obtain one prior to commencing employment.
Vaccine preventive disease evidence such as Hepatitis B is a requirement of this role; other vaccinations may be required depending on location.
