Offer description

Two brand new roles for enthusiastic and experienced people leaders
2 x full time, ongoing positions
Shaping safer streets and stronger community connections
$101,985 - $110,964 per annum plus Super and RDOs

We're currently seeking two experienced and energetic leaders to join our Civic Services team as Supervisor Parking Services.

About The Role

In this role, you'll guide and support one of our two Parking Officer teams to deliver a proactive, community‑focused parking enforcement service across Boroondara. You'll provide daily supervision, mentor officers in the field, ensure high standards of compliance, and contribute to a culture centred on safety, integrity and exceptional customer service.

This role operates in a dynamic environment, working closely with internal teams and external partners including Victoria Police, VicRoads, schools and community groups. You will also be part of the on‑call and weekend roster (working 1 in 4 weekends - at additional penalty rates), providing oversight and operational support as required.

About You

You're a confident and supportive leader with experience in compliance, enforcement or a similar fast‑paced service environment. You bring strong communication skills, sound judgement and the ability to coach and develop staff. Your approach is calm, solutions‑focused and grounded in a commitment to fair and equitable service.

You are comfortable interpreting legislation, managing competing priorities and engaging constructively with community members and stakeholders. You enjoy working collaboratively, leading by example, and helping your team achieve its best.

Key Responsibilities

You will lead and motivate your team to deliver high‑quality parking services that prioritise education, safety and fairness. This includes planning day‑to‑day operations, creating effective rosters, developing staff capability, and maintaining consistent enforcement practices aligned with legislation and Council policies. You will oversee investigations, ensure accurate evidence and audit records, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service delivery.

Working closely with the Coordinator Compliance Programs, you will help monitor parking technology, manage abandoned vehicle processes, and support the delivery of strategic and operational objectives. Providing timely, professional customer service—including managing complex enquiries and preparing clear written responses—will also be an essential part of your role.

Why join us

At the City of Boroondara, we are committed to creating a vibrant and inclusive city that meets the needs and aspirations of our community. Our people are at the heart of everything we do, and we foster a culture built on collaboration, respect, and innovation. You'll be part of a team that values integrity, empowers others, and inspires possibility. We offer a supportive environment where your contributions make a real difference to the community we serve.

Benefits

You will enjoy access to flexible work arrangements, generous leave entitlements, and wellbeing programs. We provide ongoing professional development opportunities and a collaborative team environment where your skills and ideas are valued. This is your chance to work on meaningful projects that shape the future of our city.
