* Ability to be available to work a flexible roster, which will include shifts from 4 AM to 12:00PM.
* This is a full-time multiple position, offering approximately 38 hours per week.
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Baker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, baking, and decorating a wide range of pastries, cakes, breads, and desserts while ensuring the highest standards of quality, presentation, and food safety.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare, bake, and finish a variety of pastries, cakes, breads, desserts, and other baked goods according to established recipes and techniques.
* Measure, mix, and combine ingredients accurately, ensuring consistent quality and taste.
* Operate and maintain bakery equipment, including ovens, mixers, molds, and other tools, ensuring they function safely and efficiently.
* Monitor the baking process to ensure products meet required quality standards in terms of texture, flavor, and appearance.
* Decorate and present baked goods in an appealing and creative manner, aligning with brand aesthetics.
* Innovate and develop new recipes or seasonal menu items to enhance product offerings.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery area, ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations (HACCP knowledge preferred).
* Monitor and manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
* Collaborate with chefs, pastry cooks, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely production.
* Train and mentor junior staff or apprentices on baking techniques and operational procedures.
* Ensure all baked goods are stored and displayed appropriately to maintain freshness and quality.
* Adapt to customer feedback and incorporate suggestions to improve product offerings.

* Complete duties as directed by your manager/supervisor
* Abide by company policies and procedures at all times
* Ability to be available for work across the 7 days of the week, which may include evening work and some public holidays (starting times can be as early as 4am)
* Work in a fast-paced team environment and communicate with customers and staff.
* Proven experience as a Baker with one or more years of experience.
