As a Finance Officer, you'll assist in the delivery of all services relating to the issue of rates and charges and associated usage accounts for water consumption and related charges. In this diverse role you'll grow your skills in a variety of revenue related functions and have the opportunity to engage with our community to provide comprehensive support, creating an environment of trust and satisfaction. You'll become an integral part of our hard working team and make meaningful contributions within a collaborative culture that values excellence and fosters growth.
You'll Find Growth Through
* Operating and maintaining Council's Rating Module, Water Billing Module and Name and Address Register
* Ensuring land valuations reflect those held by the Valuer General
* Issuing rate notices, supplementary rate notices and quarterly instalment notices
* Ensuring pension rebates are granted in accordance with the Local Government Act 1993
* Reconciling rate levied with the Rate Ledger, General Ledger and Valuation Register
* Processing Notice of Sales and Transfer issued by Land and Property Information NSW
What You'll Bring
To thrive in this role, you will need:
* Certificate III in Business, Finance, Administration or relevant discipline
* Demonstrated experience in carrying out Accounts Receivable processes
* High level customer service skills
* Sound organisational/time management skills
* High level knowledge and experience in the use of PC based office application software especially Microsoft applications including Word and Excel
We Would Also Love You To Have
* Knowledge of the rating provisions of the Local Government Act 1993

This position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from $67,787 to $78,778.
