Overview
This role is suited to an experienced and detail-driven professional ready to take ownership of surveying activities across a dynamic, multi-mine gold operation. With multiple underground and open-pit mines in production, and current projects coming online in 2025 and 2026, this is your opportunity to play a critical part in the growth of a rapidly expanding gold producer.
Working closely with mining, geology, and technical services teams, this position ensures accurate survey control, statutory compliance, and timely delivery of survey data to support safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct and manage all underground and open-pit survey work to statutory standards.
- Perform stope void surveys (CMS and drone), development mark-ups, and diamond drill collar checks.
- Maintain accurate mine model updates and issue development memos to production teams.
- Calculate end-of-month volumes, advances, and reconciliation data.
- Complete surface surveys including stockpile pickups, excavation pickups, and prism monitoring.
- Provide accurate and timely survey information to enable weekly, monthly, and LOM planning.
- Mentor and provide functional guidance to the open-pit survey team.
Skills & Experience
- Degree or Advanced Diploma in Surveying.
- Grade 1 Authorised Mine Surveyor’s Certificate (essential).
- 3–5+ years’ underground survey experience (gold preferred).
- 2+ years’ open-pit survey experience.
- Proficiency in Deswik or Surpac.
- Experience with Leica, Trimble, Optech, CMS, and drone systems.
- Strong data management and reporting skills (MS Office).
- Current WA Manual Driver’s Licence.
