ESS manages all aspects of large-scale accommodation facilities or "villages" for remote workers, providing the essential comforts such as a hot meal, a clean bed, freshly laundered workwear to health and wellness facilities for those working away from home.
**The Position**:
We are looking for an experienced** Safety Advisor to join our team in the NT on a 2:2 roster** with previous experience in areas such as catering, food safety, hotel services, maintenance and grounds, maintenance services and general safety.
You will be confident in working with teams as well as individuals, lead meetings, pre-starts and safety-related training and be confident and respectful when working with multiple stakeholders including internal stakeholders, the client and contractors. This is an 2:1 FIFO role from Perth.
**Role Responsibilities**:
- Work to a plan linked to site, team and individual KPIs
- Support a culture committed to the Compass Group HSEQ programs
- Undertake site inductions and support new team members as they embark on their journey with us.
- Monitor the implementation of operational safety, health, environment and QA policies and programs
- Undertake incident investigations and reporting
- Consult with site management and advise on HSEQ matters
- Ensure effective communication of HSEQ information across the site
- Drive safety behaviours and culture through Field Leadership activities
**The Person**:
- Minimum Cert IV in WHS
- Cert IV Training & Assessing (or willingness to obtain)
- Minimum of two years of experience in Health and Safety, Environmental, Health or similar.
- Experience in incident investigations (ICAM preferred)
- Knowledge of HACCP principles and people safety in a hospitality setting (training also provided)
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills
