Support Corporate Secretarial and Compliance Needs
Join a global team to support corporate secretarial and compliance needs in Australia and New Zealand. This role is part of the Legal and Compliance Department, which consists of approximately 30 associates located in various global locations.
The team provides strategic advice on corporate and regulatory issues, assists with structuring and implementation of transactions, coordinates and oversees regulatory relationships, supports the corporate secretarial function for legal entity boards of directors and provides advice and develops/implements policies on key compliance topics, such as data protection, data security, trade sanctions compliance and anti-money laundering compliance, and oversees litigated matters involving Gen Re companies.
Responsibilities
* Support corporate secretarial work for board of director meetings
* Support local compliance function
Requirements
* A minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience as a paralegal or compliance analyst in a law firm or corporate legal or compliance department
* Experience working on Australian corporate and compliance issues, with insurance or reinsurance knowledge and experience a plus
* Strong verbal and written communications skills
* Interpersonal skills/critical thinking skills
* Ability to work in a team environment
* Planning and organization skills, ability to prioritize workload effectively and attention to detail
