Temporary Machinery Operator – Cotton & Grain Operation Location: Near St George, QLD Employment Type: Seasonal (3–6 months, with potential to extend,(WHV Friendly) Accommodation: Single quarters provided The Role our client is seeking skilled machinery operator to assist through the upcoming harvest and cropping program. This is a seasonal role (3–6 months) with the opportunity for ongoing employment if things go well. Plenty of hours are available across harvest and planting, with varied work depending on the season. About the Property Family-operated farm with irrigated cotton and broadacre cropping Irrigation and dryland row cropping programs Crops include wheat, cotton, sorghum, mung beans, chickpeas, and cereals Modern John Deere machinery fitted with Trimble GPS Cattle operation also part of the enterprise Key Responsibilities Operate modern tractors, harvesters, and related machinery Undertake wheat harvest operations, including chaser bin work Assist with cotton planting and spraying programs Carry out general farm and irrigation duties as required Perform basic maintenance and checks on machinery Requirements Experience operating broadacre machinery (headers, tractors, chaser bins, sprayers) Understanding of GPS technology preferred Mechanical aptitude desirable Physically fit and willing to undertake manual work Positive, team-oriented attitude Benefits Competitive hourly rate Plenty of hours during harvest and planting periods Single on-farm accommodation provided Opportunity for ongoing permanent work if suitable Apply Now!
