About Us:
De Goey Contractors (DGC) provides specialist services in fabrication, protective coating, process piping, manufacturing, and labour hire. Our experienced team supports a wide range of coal mining, terminal maintenance, and port maintenance projects with a strong focus on quality, safety, and performance.
The Role
This is an office-based position with an immediate start available. Reporting to the HR Team Leader, you will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing and supporting payroll compliance across the business.
* Processing weekly payroll accurately and on time
* Maintaining employee payroll records, including onboarding and terminations
* Interpreting awards, enterprise agreements, and employment contracts
* Managing leave, reimbursements, allowances, and deductions
* Responding to payroll queries from employees and management in a timely manner
* Ensuring payroll compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies
* Assisting with payroll reporting, reconciliations, and audits
* Supporting system improvements and continuous payroll process efficiencies
What You'll Bring
* Experience with Employment Hero or Sprintsuite (highly regarded)
* Solid understanding of payroll processes
* Good Excel skills and confidence with digital platforms
* High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
* Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
