Responsibilities
* Work under the management of the head chef
* Determine how food should be presented and create decorative food displays.
* Determine production schedules and staff requirements necessary to ensure timely delivery of service.
* Estimate amounts and cost of required supplies, such as food ingredients, efficiently.
* Monitor sanitation practices to ensure that employees follow standards and regulations.
* Arrange equipment purchases and repairs.
* Prepare and cook foods of all types, either on a regular basis or for catering orders.
* Maintain and follow WHS procedures.
* Check the quantity and quality of received products.
* Work with the team to coordinate planning, budgeting, and purchasing of food operations.
* Plan, direct, and supervise the food preparation and cooking activities when on shift.
