About Us
Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn Education Limited (CECG) plays an integral role in education in the ACT and NSW, operating 56 schools and nine early learning centres (ELCs). The Catholic Education Office (CEO) provides corporate services to schools and ELCs.
The CEO provides corporate services to the CECG system of schools and ELCs. These service areas include: education and performance improvement, Catholic identity, school and family services, strategy and special projects, finance and infrastructure, information and communication technology and people and culture.
About the Role
The position is responsible for overseeing the delivery of capital projects and supporting schools with facilities planning, maintenance, and construction advice. It ensures compliance with governance requirements, provides technical expertise, and contributes to the development of strategic plans for school infrastructure.
Key Duties of the Position Include:
- Oversee the delivery of capital projects in line with the CEO’s Capital Projects Governance Framework.
- Ensure all required project documentation is completed, approved, and retained.
- Conduct school visits for project scoping, meetings, and support as needed.
- Provide technical advice on facilities, maintenance, and construction to schools.
- Assist schools with planning and delivery of minor works and maintenance.
- Support schools in selecting tradespersons and contractors for maintenance and facilities work.
- Provide cost estimates and advice for minor works and maintenance projects.
- Help schools develop and maintain a rolling 5‑year maintenance plan.
- Provide regular progress reports to the Senior Officer, Planning and Facilities and the CIO, including budget tracking and recommendations.

Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with relevant working experience and specialised training.
- ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP)
- NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Current Driver's Licence.
