Job Description:
We are seeking a Quality Manager to join our team in Tasmania. This is a permanent part-time opportunity, working 30.4 hours per fortnight.
The successful candidate will report to the National Quality Lead - Aged Care and work closely with the Home Manager, General Manager, Learning and Development, and Clinical Governance teams.
The role involves supporting the establishment and maintenance of quality and clinical governance systems and processes across all areas of Residential Aged Care homes in Tasmania.
This includes facilitation of continuous improvement measures by identifying, monitoring, and actioning activities to improve quality indicators, resident outcomes, and experience.
* Main Responsibilities
* Work closely with Aged Care Home staff onsite, to coach and support day-to-day compliance and clinical governance.
* Drive continuous improvement to enhance quality of resident care, and ensure compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards, Aged Care Act, and internal policies and procedures.
* Ensure timely completion of monthly audits, reports, and data analysis at the home level. Including leading internally quality audits when required.
* Monitor compliance with quality assurance activities, including audit schedules, and address any issues identified.
* Collaborate with leadership to address non-compliance and implement remedy work.
* Assist in preparing responses to external bodies, such as the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission, within designated time frames.
* Support General Manager, Operations Support Teams, and National Clinical Governance Teams as required.
* Engage with and support National Clinical Governance focus areas, review best practice initiatives, and recommend strategies to improve care standards and effectiveness.
Requirements:
* Experience as a Registered Nurse, Enrolled Nurse, or other Health Professional.
* Minimum of 3 years' experience within the aged care sector.
* Ability to travel interstate and to both Calvary homes in Launceston.
* Proven ability to build and maintain effective key stakeholder relationships with both internal and external groups.
* High level interpersonal and influencing skills, including the ability to foster effective working relationships with line managers and gain co-operation in the development and implementation of processes and/or projects.
* A proven ability in quality management and regulatory compliance using a team building approach through mentoring, support, and staff development.
