**POSITION TITLE**:ADMINISTRATION OFFICER**
Unions Tasmania is seeking a highly motivated and organised Administration Officer to join our team.
The position is permanent part-time offering 20 hours per week with flexibility on days and times. The role is based in Hobart.
**ABOUT UNIONS TASMANIA**
Unions Tasmania is the peak body for trade unions in Tasmania. For almost 140 years, we have been giving a voice to working Tasmanians and their families.
We represent approximately 50,000 union members, across the private and public sector, in workplaces big and small.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Delivery of frontline administration, clerical, and reception services.
- To provide an information and reception service, ensuring timely handling of enquiries from members, affiliates, external stakeholders, and other members of the community making initial contact with Unions Tasmania. respecting confidentiality as appropriate.
- Organise and plan the delivery of key Unions Tasmania meetings, events, rallies, and conferences.
- Management of incoming and outgoing correspondence.
- Coordinate the hiring of Unions Tasmania facilities and equipment.
- Co-ordinate Unions Tasmania's Health and Safety Representative training program in consultation with the WHS Trainer including registering participants to attend, setting course dates, liaising with participants, external stakeholders, training accreditation requirements, and preparing materials.
- Assist the Secretary with some diary management and meeting co-ordination as required.
**KEY SELECTION CRITERIA**
Our Administration Officer will demonstrate:
- Support for trade unions and the political and social justice work of Unions Tasmania.
- Highly motivated with excellent time management, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Excellent grammar, verbal, written, rapport building, and communication skills.
- The capacity to exercise judgment, discretion, and confidentiality within an often sensitive environment.
- Ability to triage incoming work, plan, and manage competing demands on your time.
- Ability to work to deadlines and with a level of autonomy.
- Some out of hours work will be required.
- Experience in Xero or processing payments and invoicing to provide back up to the Finance Officer would be viewed favourably.
**REMUNERATION**
An attractive remuneration package will be offered to the successful applicant, which will include:
- Flexible working arrangements
- $59,024 salary per annum (pro-rata)
- 17% employer superannuation contributions
- Four weeks annual leave, paid Christmas closedown and 17.5 % leave loading
