About The Role
Melbourne Polytechnic is seeking a dynamic Lead Educator Plumbing to support the effective delivery of vocational education and training programs. This is a great opportunity to contribute to curriculum development, drive teaching excellence, and support collaborative team success in a purpose-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, deliver, assess and coordinate high-quality vocational education programs
* Mentor and support teaching staff across multiple programs
* Coordinate course administration including timetabling, enrolment planning, and resource allocation
* Ensure compliance with regulatory and audit requirements
* Engage with industry and community stakeholders to enhance program relevance
* Promote a safe, inclusive and learner-centred environment
* Lead continuous improvement initiatives and uphold Melbourne Polytechnic's values
Skills And Experience Required
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122/TAE40116/TAE40110)
* AQF Level 6+ qualification in adult or vocational education, or equivalent
* Minimum 2 years' industry experience in plumbing or related field
* Extensive teaching experience with strong understanding of learner-centred methodologies
* Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and ICT skills
* Proven ability to lead, mentor, and coordinate educational programs
* Knowledge of compliance, OH&S, and continuous improvement practices
Additional Requirements
* A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC)
* A National Police Check
