Woodham Petroleum Services is a family-owned business operating a regional network of fuel depots and retail fuel outlets across NSW and QLD. We service a significant number of major commercial and rural clients, and we own and operate a considerable fleet of fuel tankers based across NSW and QLD. We are seeking a Driver Trainer for a full-time role, with the option to work a combination of hybrid / office base.
You would report to the Transport Manager and join an expanding team with a collaborative culture. Your role as Driver Trainer will be a focal point for our driver engagement, vehicle-based systems utilisation, training and safety efforts.
The successful candidate must have excellent time management skills and attention to detail as well as the availability to travel between our operational depots. You will be able to prioritise work and coordinate with our depots and drivers regarding training and upskilling efforts.
Main Duties Will Include
* Provide onboarding and induction training for new drivers, including the organisation of external inductions required at supply or delivery sites,
* Assisting our depot staff and HR department with initial and ongoing training related to company systems and devices,
* Provide periodic training, assessment and review of fuel delivery tasks and procedures to ensure safe and compliant operations,
* Prepare and present material for onboarding, upskilling and regular education for toolbox talks and other reviews,
* Where necessary, develop site-specific work instructions for loading and delivery sites,
* Where required, participate in incident investigations and reviews,
* Where required, provide driver relief and coverage,
* Prepare weekly and monthly reports and other summaries as required,
The Successful Applicant Will Have
* Cert IV in Training and Assessment,
* MC licence, DG licence and fuel industry experience,
* A collaborative and empathetic approach to integrate with a diverse team of drivers, depot staff and contractors,
* A demonstrated knowledge of relevant NHVR/NHVAS/DG requirements,
* An autonomous mindset, able to prioritise and work with little supervision,
* Clear and concise communication abilities with excellent interpersonal skills,
* Proficiency using computer-based applications including the Microsoft Office Suite.
