Job Description
- Prepare and analyse financial statements to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Process Payroll
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes accurately and on time.
- Reconcile accounts, ensuring discrepancies are promptly investigated and resolved.
- Assist with budget preparation and forecasting activities.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations and accounting practices.
- Contribute to the improvement of accounting processes and systems.
The Successful Applicant
A Successful Financial Accountant Should Have
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Well drilled in processing payroll
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Previous experience in a similar accounting role, ideally within the Technology & Telecoms industry.
- Knowledge of current accounting standards and regulations in Australia.
