Job Title: Surgical Nurse in Pre and Post Operative Care
We are seeking an experienced surgical nurse to join our dynamic team on a 23-bed unit specializing in the pre and post operative care of elective and emergency surgery patients.
Responsibilities:
* Provide general nursing duties, pre and post operative monitoring and observation.
* Manage IV & CVAD equipment.
* Conduct comprehensive patient assessments.
* Escalate any deterioration in patient condition.
* Develop complex wound management plans.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide patient care.
Requirements:
* Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or working rights in Australia.
* Curent Nursing and/or Midwifery Registration with APHRA (Australian Health Practitioners Agency).
* Demonstrate a person-centered approach to decision making and care planning activities.
* Ability to work as a team member within a multidisciplinary environment.
* Understand quality and risk management principles.
* Apply evidence-based practice in own work.
* Comply with WHS legislation and regulations.
* Familiarity with clinical governance frameworks.
* Skillful use of electronic information systems/software used across healthcare settings.
