Preston Street IGA's award winning Deli is seeking an experienced and passionate Deli Manager to join us on a full-time basis.
We are looking for a foodie with experience in retail who can lead and inspire their team and create a market leading offer for our local community.As a department manager, you will be responsible for the successful operation of the Department within the store, leading your team to deliver an exceptional fresh food offering to our customers.The store is open 7 days a week 24 hours a day and involves some flexibility of working hours to suit the business and the successful candidate.ResponsibilitiesManagement of financial targetsProduction of high-quality take-home mealsPreparation of fresh, healthy salads, sandwiches/rolls and other food offeringsOverseeing a team of deli staff including rosteringInventory & stock managementRequirements & attributesPrior experience with people management & leadershipMinimum 1-2 years of people management and leadership experience requiredMinimum 1-2 years of retail department manager experience requiredAbility to manage financial targetsSound inventory management skills (ordering, stock management, monitoring price changes)A team player and motivational leaderValid Australian work rights required for this positionAchievable KPI based bonus structureFuel and telephone allowanceJob securityProfessional team environmentAbout usOur supermarket currently employs over 70 staff within a caring and supportive environment and is one of the top performing stores in the State.
