Popcultcha are an Australian-owned and operated, family business that has been retailing collectables for 30+ years and counting. With origins dating back to the trading card boom in the 1990's, the Popcultcha catalogue has expanded over the decades to include curated collections of Action Figures, Statues, Vinyl Records, Comic Books, Designer Toys, Art Prints, Vinyl Figures, Life-Size Replicas, Board Games and much more All of this is housed in our Geelong, Victoria facility where we ship orders to all corners of the globe. While our online presence has been active since 2009, our brick and mortar Geelong stores have always been a pillar of the local community. We currently operate 3 unique retail locations in Geelong, our Flagship Store in Ryrie St, our Collector Gallery at Federal Mills, and our most recent addition, Popcultcha Records.
The Role
We are currently looking to fill Assistant Store Manager and Retail Sales Assistant positions at our Popcultcha Flagship Store, Popcultcha Collector Gallery and Popcultcha Records retail locations in Geelong, Victoria.
We are seeking motivated individuals who are energetic and customer focused, and who take pride in their day-to-day work in a fast-paced environment. You must be able to work well within a team, have a high level of verbal communication, manage competing priorities and have strong attention to detail. As the face of our brand, these roles will require you to have a can-do attitude and provide an incredible experience to everyone who enters our stores.
While the role is Geelong based, you will have opportunities to hit the road and represent the brand at our Supanova Expo and Oz Comic Con events.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in driving sales and engaging with our customers
* Order processing and cash handling
* Visual Merchandising
* Social Media Marketing
* Inventory management and stock replenishment*
* Opening and closing procedures*
* Shift Supervision*
* Coordinating In-Store Events*
* Assistant Store Manager only.
About You:
For the Assistant Store Manager positions, previous retail management experience is preferred, but not essential. The successful candidates enjoy having conversations and are willing to let their vibrant personalities shine both in-store and on our social media platforms to promote the Popcultcha brand. Existing product knowledge and a genuine interest in collecting will be advantageous
Our stores are open 7 days a week, including most public holidays therefore; successful applicants need to have full availability.
