Job Overview
We are seeking skilled professionals to join our Defence division as Range Operations Managers. As key team members, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient and effective service delivery, managing subcontractors and suppliers, maintaining stakeholder relationships, and overseeing safe and efficient range operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage subcontractors/suppliers to ensure quality and timeliness in delivering services.
* Maintain strong stakeholder relationships to achieve contract outcomes.
* Conduct daily range briefings per TASO (excluding DOTAM safety briefings).
* Oversee safe and efficient range operations across facilities, equipment, and personnel.
* Provide on-call support for minor maintenance on TAR sites without Caretakers.
* Maintain and manage range equipment to ensure optimal performance.
* Keep accurate electronic logbooks to track activities and events.
* Allocate TAR sites to users upon induction and administer TAR bookings via Defence system.
* Monitor and respond to TASnet; maintain accurate electronic logbooks.
* Control TASnet during emergencies and escort emergency services as needed.
* Perform Caretaker duties on unmanned TAR sites.
* Recommend and implement service delivery improvements to enhance overall performance.
About You
To succeed in this role, you must have:
* Proven experience in overseeing range operations, safety protocols, and equipment maintenance.
* Experience in coordinating minor maintenance and managing range assets.
* Experience in leading emergency response, including operating comms systems and escorted services.
* Degree or diploma in logistics, management, business administration, or a related field is highly desirable.
* Certifications in OH&S, emergency response, and risk management are essential.
* Range Officer Accreditation or relevant safety training is required.
You must also be an Australian citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
