Student Support Officer

We are seeking a dedicated and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Student Support Officer. As a key member of our school community, you will play a vital role in supporting the wellbeing and development of our students.

The successful applicant will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and parents. They will be responsible for facilitating our check-in process in Student Services, running identified programs, and maintaining comprehensive records.

A collaborative and consultative approach is essential to work within a well-resourced and experienced student-focused team. Prior experience supporting students through mentoring, mediation, counselling, school engagement, assessing levels of risk, interagency links, and case management will be considered favourably.

The ideal candidate will cultivate a safe and accountable environment, underpinning our core values. They will work collaboratively with all members of the school and wider community to provide quality experiences through promoting our vision and strategic directions.

Key responsibilities include:
* Facilitating our check-in process in Student Services

Required qualifications and skills include:
* Good oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
* Effective planning and organisational skills
* Good research, conceptual, and analytical skills
* Skills and experience in working with individual or small groups of students experiencing difficulties
* Knowledge of the youth sector, particularly local organisations and services
