Job Opportunity:
We're seeking a highly skilled Electrician to undertake various tasks related to the inspection, servicing, maintenance and repair of suburban train fleet vehicles ensuring safe, reliable and punctual operation.
* Fully adhere to established safety protocols.
* Respond promptly to incidents such as derailments, collisions, pantograph entanglements, fatalities, and other train-related emergencies.
* Conduct thorough examinations and inspections diagnosing and repairing electrical circuits and systems as required.
* Utilise approved diagnostic practices and train electrical schematics for fault-finding purposes.
* Implement modifications in line with operational requirements.
* Service electrical and mechanical control systems including fault monitoring circuitry.
* Operate computer-based tools and diagnostic equipment for maintenance and troubleshooting purposes.
* Maintain fleet rotating machinery and replace or install major fleet components as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:

* Carry out thorough safety checks prior to commencing work.
