The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer - Water to join our multidisciplinary water team in Newcastle. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for the design and review of water and wastewater treatment plants, reservoirs, pump stations and conveyance pipelines.
You will also oversee site investigations, calculations, modelling and drafting. Additionally, you will prepare reports and specifications, and provide expert advice to our clients.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or closely related engineering discipline.
* Significant years of experience in water and wastewater treatment and/or conveyance design.
* Knowledge of safety in design, constructability and operational practices and relevant Australian standards and WSAA codes.
* Knowledge of risk management with the ability to identify project and design related risks.
* Experience in managing medium to large engineering design projects.
* A commitment to working safely, and within our HSEQ systems.
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate across a multidisciplinary team.
* Well-developed written and verbal communication skills to interact with a broad range of audiences.
