The Role
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team and work on an exciting engagement with one of our clients. You will play a key role in developing, optimising, and maintaining robust data pipelines and models, supporting enterprise-scale analytics and reporting.
This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week at the office to foster collaboration and alignment with the project team.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines on Azure and Snowflake.
- Develop and optimise data models to support analytics and business intelligence needs.
- Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Conduct data profiling, testing, and validation to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Document processes and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team.
Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer (or similar role).
- Proven expertise in Snowflake and Azure data services.
- Hands-on experience with dbt for transformation and modelling.
- Strong understanding of data modelling, data warehousing, and ELT/ETL pipelines.
- Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python or Java preferred).
- Experience in the retail sector is a strong plus.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
