Details: ACT Long Service Leave Authority (ACT Leave) is a Statutory Authority of the ACT Government responsible for the administration of portable long service leave benefit schemes for covered industries within the ACT.
Our vision is to make portable long service leave universally understood and recognised as an important and accepted part of the employment landscape. Our activities are determined by the Long Service Leave (Portable Schemes) Act 2009, and we are governed by a Board of Directors appointed under the legislation.
Responsibilities
* Devising the Compliance Strategy
* Executing, recording and reporting of compliance activities that support ACT Leave's key functions and objectives
* Assisting industry employers meet their obligations and to ensure workers are aware of their entitlements under the legislation by conducting educational activities.
As the Senior Compliance Officer, reporting directly to the Compliance Manager, you will conduct site inspections, employer visits, educational activities, enforcement processes and provide assistance to the Compliance Manager and the Chief Finance Officer.
Qualifications and Experience
Ideally, you will have skills and experience relating to communications with stakeholders (including face-to-face) from an educational and enforcement approach, compliance inspections, enforcement processes, and assessments relying on the interpretation and application of law. You will be willing to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of 12 months with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.
A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
