The Darling, and venues including The Star Event Centre and The Lyric Theatre, offer extraordinary dining and entertainment experiences. As a Front Office Agent, reporting to the Front Office Manager, you will be at the heart of our operations—handling check-ins/outs, assisting with guest bookings, and processing payments with accuracy. Your diplomacy and guest service skills will ensure every guest leaves with a positive impression. This is an opportunity to build memorable connections with guests and hotel teams.

Eligibility checks are required as part of the recruitment process and ongoing employment for this position.


Responsibilities

* Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly, efficiently and courteously to guest requests during check-in, check-out and throughout their stay.
* Answer reservations inquiries via phone or email in a timely manner.
* Maintain professionalism and ensure procedures are followed regarding guest confidentiality and company policies.
* Take ownership of tasks as required, such as securing payments and issuing room keys to assure guest satisfaction.
* Maintain procedures related to credit and cash transactions and relevant charges to guest accounts.


What we are looking for

* Extensive guest service experience in Front Office/Guest Services.
* Excellent written and verbal communication with knowledge of hotel check-in systems (Opera highly regarded).
* Ability to speak a second language (highly regarded but not essential).
* Sound knowledge of the local area and surroundings.
* Excellent grooming and presentation.
