7R Logistics
With over 50 years in the industry, 7R Logistics is well-respected as an industry leader in the safe and professional operation of semi and double tankers. Growth is consistent and the team are extremely stable.
The business is very open and progressive, bringing world-first innovations in technology and process together with a progressive management style that has seen extremely high team fulfilment and stability. The team's culture, ethics and professionalism are first class.
The Role
Due to a new contract coming on-stream shortly, we are now looking for 3 B-double drivers to join the team based at Gympie, driving either north or south depending on the shift. A current MC license and proven, safe driving record are essential. There are also likely to be opportunities to do some work in other areas from time to time if that is of interest to you.
Full training for the work tasks is provided and we can even help you with BFM accreditation if you don't yet have that.
You'll also need to pass regular medical checks and consent to random alcohol and drug testing and other initiatives so we can be sure you arrive home safely after every shift. As you'd expect, we have a zero tolerance for any sort of impairment, safety risk or illegality, and smoking isn't allowed in the workplace, at customer sites or in the truck.
To apply, all you'll need is evidence of:
* MC licence, clean driving record and suitable medical history so we can be sure the work is safe for you.
* BFM accreditation (or willingness to gain it)
* A genuine commitment to the safety of yourself, your colleagues and the general public.
* A sincere willingness to take personal responsibility while cooperating with and supporting others in your team.
* High professional standards, including personal presentation and behaviour, attention to detail, driving skills, flexibility, and communication.
Hours
Shifts are generally between 8 and 11 hours depending on the run you're on, mostly Monday to Friday on a stable, planned roster. There may be an occasional additional Saturday shift but expect that to be once or month or less based on current predictions.
The roles are permanent full-time, but there will also be an opportunity for a casual role if that is your preference. It really depends on what you are looking for in work-life balance. Let's talk about that.
Rewards
What's in it for you? Well, with stable permanent work, modern equipment with auto Euro trucks, a great company culture and above-award wages this is a terrific opportunity. PLUS there are bonuses available to recognise and reward your professionalism and safety.
If you're looking for variety, from time to time there will be opportunities to work in other locations too, short or long term - perhaps milk tankers in Tasmania or South Australia, or gas out of Chinchilla or northern NSW. You don't have to do this of course, but it's there if you're interested.
