About the Role
Reporting to the National Service Manager, this full-time Field Service Engineer position will involve preventative maintenance, breakdown service, installations and operator training. The role is based in Perth and requires frequent travel to client sites, with some interstate and international travel. Travel is an integral part of the role and you could be away from home an average of 2 weeks per month depending on client demand.
* Aim for 80% of time spent at customer sites, providing service such as installations, preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis and training – the remaining 20% is administrative.
* Complete service reports, stock requests/management, and document travel expenses.
* Build strong relationships with clients and provide information on LECO consumables and spare parts.
* Participate in self-learning through the LECO Ignite training portal, online webinars, etc.
* Take ownership of allocated jobs and manage the travel arrangements and planning.
* Become a subject matter expert on LECO instrumentation and provide guidance, support and training to customers on correct operation and use.
* Additional duties as required.
About You
* Tertiary qualifications in Electronics or Chemistry.
* Hands‐on laboratory experience with LECO instrumentation or other laboratory instrumentation would be highly regarded.
* Proven field service experience with chemical laboratory instruments or industrial gas flow process control instrumentation.
* Experience servicing gas flow systems, mechanical/electronic gas flow controllers, gas detection systems, solenoids, pneumatic systems, pumps, and laboratory ovens/furnaces.
* Restricted electrical licence – highly regarded.
* Strong relationship‐building and communication skills.
* Ability to travel to meet the requirements of clients and the role.
