About the Role
Retail Cashiers play an important role bringing diligence, professionalism and friendliness to ensure transactions at point of sale run smoothly and efficiently. This role is often the first point of contact for customers and donors, and is key in ensuring customers leave the store with a lasting positive impression.

Background Check Requirements
As this role involves handling money, a Police Check is required. The Salvation Army is a child‐safe organisation and is committed to protecting children and young people from harm. All child‐related roles will require a Working with Children Check; certain volunteer roles may also require a National Police Check.

This volunteer role provides an opportunity to develop skills and build experience in retail practices and customer service.
Time Required & Commitment
The schedule is agreed with the manager and includes morning and afternoon shifts that suit school hours.
