AYAN InfoTech is looking for two Azure Cloud Engineer & Cloud Integration Engineer positions based in Melbourne for a 6‐month contract with potential extensions.
Azure Cloud Engineer
Job Summary: The Cloud Subject Matter Expert (SME) leads the identification, remediation, and securing of Azure PaaS services, ensuring all traffic routes through the firewall. The role provides hands‐on technical leadership across Azure networking, security controls, and automation, working closely with domain teams and Cloud Services.
Qualifications and Experience
* 8+ years IT experience, with 5+ years in cloud roles.
* Proven experience with Private Endpoints and firewall‐centric architectures.
* Strong hands‐on experience with Azure PaaS, networking, and security.
* Infrastructure as code with Terraform and CI/CD via Azure DevOps.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and delivery focus.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and assess internet‐exposed Azure PaaS services (Web Apps, Logic Apps, Function Apps, Azure ML) across multiple business domains.
* Perform impact and dependency analysis covering traffic flows, service behaviour, SLA and latency considerations.
* Engage stakeholders to map integrations and agree remediation approaches.
* Design and implement secure network controls, including Private Endpoints and VNet Integration, aligned to enterprise standards.
* Automate remediation using Terraform, with deployments via Azure DevOps pipelines.
* Test and validate remediated services for connectivity, behaviour, and firewall compliance.
* Produce essential architecture documentation and runbooks, completing handover to Cloud Services.
Azure Cloud Integration Engineer
Job Summary: A skilled Cloud Integration Engineer with strong hands‐on experience in Azure Integration Services (AIS) and .NET‐based development to contribute to integration solutions from day one, building scalable, event‐driven architectures.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and implement cloud‐native integration solutions using Azure services.
* Build and manage APIs using Azure API Management (APIM).
* Develop event‐driven architectures leveraging Service Bus, messaging, and Azure Functions.
* Implement integrations using Azure Logic Apps and Azure Functions.
* Develop and maintain high‐quality code using .NET Core, C#, and SQL.
* Containerize workloads and deploy using Azure Container Apps (ACA) where required.
* Ensure secure integration patterns, including authentication, authorization, and data protection.
* Implement robust error handling, retry, and resilience mechanisms.
* Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines for integration solutions.
* Define and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (Bicep/ARM/Terraform).
* Enable monitoring and observability using Azure‐native tools (App Insights, logging, alerts).
* Produce solution design documents (HLD/LLD) and integration architecture diagrams.
* Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, and delivery teams in an Agile environment.
Required Skills & Experience
* Strong experience in Azure Integration Services (AIS).
* Hands‐on expertise with Azure API Management (APIM), Azure Service Bus & messaging, Azure Logic Apps & Azure Functions.
* Solid understanding of event‐driven and microservices‐based architectures.
* Strong development experience in .NET Core, C#, and SQL.
* Experience with containers and Azure Container Apps (ACA).
* Knowledge of integration security best practices.
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.).
* Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
* Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability frameworks.
* Strong understanding of error handling and distributed system resilience patterns.
