The Chief Operations Officer (COO) of Soto Group is responsible for overseeing the company’s daily operations, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and on time and within budget. This role involves translating the strategic vision into an actionable plan, talent mentoring and workforce management, security and risk management, as well as regulatory compliance and safety. The COO should be the champion of our project management system to improve conversion, execution, efficiency and client outcomes. The COO works closely with the CEO, the executive team and key stakeholders to implement business strategies with a strong focus on leadership, operational excellence & resource management.
What you’ll do
* Lead recruitment, employee development, and performance optimisation to build and sustain a high-performing team.
* Own and drive the customer management and retention strategy across all key market sectors, including upsell and cross-sell opportunities
* Ensure efficient workflows, high-quality outcomes, and continuous process improvement.
* Act as the recognised champion of our project management systems and operational frameworks
* Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and long-term strategic growth
* Uphold health, safety, and industry regulations to maintain a secure and compliant workplace.
Who you are
* 10+ year experience in an operational leadership role or COO
* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Mechanical, Civil, Structural Engineering or related field or MBA (Master of Business Administration)
* Demonstrated expertise in strategic and financial planning, cost control, resource management, project management, and leadership
* Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret and act on financial and operational data
* Skilled communicator with strong interpersonal and collaborative leadership abilities, adept at building strong client relationships, engaging stakeholders effectively, and maintaining a consistently client-focused approach
* High Level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM and ERP Systems
* Passionate about continuous learning and challenging the status quo
