Role Overview
This multidisciplinary position plays a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive public health and clinical interventions to address substance use risks and harms.
The successful applicant will be responsible for conducting evidence-based drug and alcohol assessments, treatment, and support across the region. This includes managing a clinical caseload with accurate documentation and participating in community engagement initiatives to reduce harm.
* Deliver high-quality patient care through effective assessment, treatment, and support strategies.
* Collaborate with local agencies and Queensland Health to develop and implement effective solutions.
* Contribute to the development of targeted programs aimed at reducing the impact of substance use on regional communities.
Responsibilities
* Design and deliver tailored intervention programs for individuals struggling with substance use.
* Develop and maintain effective relationships with community stakeholders to promote collaborative solutions.
* Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in substance use management.
Requirements
* Psychologist, Social Worker, or Occupational Therapist with expertise in substance use management.
* Proven ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong focus on patient-centered care.
