School Overview
Star of the Sea Primary School is a Catholic co‐educational school of approximately 800 students, offering Early Learning Centre (3‐Year‐Old) through Year 6. It provides a broad curriculum and a supportive learning environment. The school is part of the Catholic Education Western Australia network and is located in Rockingham.
Responsibilities
Assist classroom teachers to deliver inclusive learning programs, support young children's development, facilitate classroom activities, and provide one‐to‐one assistance as required.
Selection Criteria
* Commitment to the Catholic ethos, vision and values of Star of the Sea
* Patience, tolerance, reliability and flexibility in the classroom and workplace
* Experience as a Learning Support Team Education Assistant
* Empathy and understanding of young children's needs
* Collaborative working, ability to build trust and display integrity
* Sound written and verbal communication skills
* Completion or willingness to complete a Senior First Aid Certificate
Qualifications
* Certificate IV in School‐Based Education Support
* Working with Children's Check
* Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check
* Accreditation to work in a Catholic school (or willingness to obtain)
* Current registration as a teacher with the Teacher Registration Board of WA (TRBWA)
