About the Role:
We are seeking highly skilled and motivated Trade Assistants / Service Persons to join our WA operations on various rosters. These are permanent positions. As a team player, you will have opportunities to work on world-class assets, embracing social value, teamwork, and collaboration.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of fixed plant assets, including scrapers, skirt liners, rollers, conveyors, screenhouses, stackers, and reclaimers.
We are seeking candidates with shutdown experience within mining, specifically with exposure to the above fixed plant equipment.
- Remove and replace conveyor idlers (rollers), bulk and singularly.
- Remove and replace idler frames.
- Carry out routine inspections on skirt liners.
- Undertake relevant training and upskilling.
- Be comfortable with maintenance systems (SAP) or willing to learn.
- Take personal responsibility for results.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience with FIFO and shift work.
- Forklift/EWP certification is advantageous.
- Basic Rigging skills are advantageous.
- Working at heights, gas testing, and confined space experience are preferred.
- Prioritize safety, communicate effectively, and contribute to a positive team culture.
About you:
You should have shutdown mining experience, ideally with exposure to conveyor maintenance and fixed plant equipment. Certifications such as EWP, Confined Space, Working at Heights, and Gas Testing are required. Rigging experience is also encouraged.
