About the role
Bemin Secondary College in Truganina VIC is expanding rapidly and requires a Speech Pathologist to lead a tier‑2 intervention programme in 2026. The role offers a collaborative environment across two campuses and strong support for staff development.
Responsibilities
* Design, deliver and monitor targeted speech and language support for students identified for intervention.
* Lead the creation and implementation of a tier‑2 intervention programme in partnership with the Assistant Principal of Inclusion and the Leading Teacher of Inclusive Practices.
* Provide individual support by evaluating, designing, and refining communication strategies for students.
* Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to promote effective communication across various contexts.
* Develop staff capabilities to deliver targeted programs and increase students' speech and language outcomes.
Qualifications & Selection Criteria
* SC1: Experience planning, implementing, and evaluating interventions for students with communication support needs.
* SC2: Knowledge and experience in administering standardised assessments relevant to students.
* SC3: Capacity to collaborate and work within multi‑disciplinary teams delivering speech pathology services.
* SC4: Ability to communicate effectively with families, care‑givers, staff, and other professionals.
* SC5: Highly developed communication, networking and interpersonal skills.
* SC6: Proven capacity to work collaboratively with school leaders and staff to support tiered intervention approaches, including progress‑monitoring processes.
