Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to engineering disciplines across the Collins Class program.
Key Responsibilities
* Complete intermediate structural engineering calculations and provide recommendations on design improvements.
* Undertake work at component and system/assembly levels, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
* Check design information at a component level to ensure accuracy and completeness.
* Perform technical analysis using existing tools and procedures, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
* Determine structurally sound decisions and direction, collaborating with stakeholders to achieve project goals.
* Prepare and present technical reports, authorizing implementation of technical solutions.
Required Qualifications
* Minimum 5 years' experience in an Engineer/Technical Officer role.
* Bachelor Degree/Advanced Diploma/Associate Degree of Engineering in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
* Eligibility for Australian Department of Defence Security clearance.
