What You'll Do (Responsibilities) Maintain a deep understanding of data components including Cassandra, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, Kafka, Zookeeper, MySQL and PostgreSQL, and use that knowledge to operate and automate properly configured clusters.
Operate databases in Kubernetes and manage container images.
Develop infrastructure services to support a full DevOps model for the CrowdStrike engineering team.
Collaborate with Engineering and Customer Support to troubleshoot time‑sensitive production issues, 24/7 as needed.
Ensure petabytes of critical business data remain safe, secure and available.
What You'll Need (Qualifications) Configuration management (Chef)
Scripting in Python and Bash
Experience with large‑scale datastores using technologies such as Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Kafka, Zookeeper, and MySQL
Experience in large‑scale, business‑critical Linux environments
Experience operating within the cloud (preferably AWS, GCP and OCI)
Proven ability to work effectively with both local and remote teams
Strong decision‑making abilities, especially in high‑stakes situations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Confident, independent, with judgment to know when to ask for help
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., CS, CIS, Engineering)
