Responsibilities
* Guide the development and ongoing improvement of financial crime oversight activities, ensuring alignment with broader risk expectations.
* Lead reviews of obligations, controls and processes, addressing issues as they arise and supporting stakeholders with clear guidance.
* Assess and document key risks and controls, including contributing to organisation‑wide financial crime assessments and assurance activities.
* Support senior level reporting by providing insights on financial crime matters, emerging risks and overall control effectiveness.
* Drive financial crime and broader risk frameworks while supporting strong ethical conduct and sound governance across the organisation.
What you'll need to succeed
* At least 5 year's experience in financial crime, fraud control and/or AML/CTF oversight/assurance. Preference is for someone from the super, banking or financial services industry.
* Strong understanding of the financial crime regulations and compliance requirements to ensure adherence to relevant laws.
* Comprehensive understanding of risk management frameworks, reviews and methodologies.
* Strong communication skills both spoken and written.
Open to candidates from Sydney or Melbourne.
