About the Role
As the Cold Store Manager, you'll be in a hands on leadership role and be responsible for overseeing the dispatch operations of chilled and frozen sheep/lamb products from our site. You'll ensure that our AM & PM shifts run with maximum efficiency while upholding world-class standards in safety, quality, and export compliance.
Experience & Qualifications
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in a leadership role within the meat or food processing industry.
* Expertise in managing cold store or freezer operations, including dispatch and inventory control.
* In-depth knowledge of DAWR, Export & Domestic regulations and compliance requirements.
* Proven ability to drive operational efficiencies and meet strict daily production targets.
* Experience managing WH&S, HACCP, and Quality Systems within a large-scale plant.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage complex human emotions and ambiguous situations.
* Strong analytical skills to complete documentation and daily production reports accurately.
* Aus-meat Sheep Meat Specification Level 2 would be advantageous
* A validDriver's and Forklift license is required
