Great opportunity for a Project Coordinator/Project Officer with excellent reporting skills keen to develop a career in PMO prioritisation and strategy. 12-month initial term with ongoing potential. APS6 $500 per day inc super. This position can be based in Geelong, Richmond or Canberra. Flexible work arrangements on offer (hybrid work from office and home).
**Role**
Within the Delivery and Change Office of a complex and large federal Agency with over 20 major programs of work and up to 20 sub-projects underneath. The Agency is working through the new federal budget allocation and will mobilise a reform program on top of in-flight programs.
Strategy and Priorities team develops the Corporate Plan and reporting on program performance based on the Commonwealth Performance Framework, and conducts quarterly business performance reviews. You'll be collating and deciphering program status reports, uncovering accurate state of play and developing reports for senior management using advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills. The reports you develop will be for the Executive Leadership Team and C-suite, as well as the Reform Council and Minister at times and have direct input into ongoing strategy and prioritisation.
**Requirements**:
- Experience in a Project Analyst/Project Coordinator/Project Manager or PMO Analyst position - experience in project delivery management and reporting is required
- Prince2, PMBOK, SAFe Agile experience and certifications
- Deep expertise in advanced Excel and PowerPoint presentations
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to adapt and pivot to change
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with senior Executive Stakeholders - verbal and written communication
- Strong analysis skills and ability to read a program status report and identify the bigger picture and uncover state of play, risks
