An established, national consultancy with a strong pipeline of major infrastructure work is seeking a Senior Cost Engineer to join its Brisbane team. This is an opportunity to work across significant transport programs and complex civil infrastructure projects, contributing to high-level estimating, risk modelling and client advisory services.
The Role You will play a key role in the preparation and review of detailed cost estimates, risk-adjusted modelling and strategic cost advice across major transport infrastructure projects. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, providing robust, defensible cost intelligence to inform business cases and investment decisions.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation of Category 2–3 estimates aligned with PCEM or similar frameworks
* Development of first-principles estimates for major civil infrastructure works
* Delivery of P50 / P90 risk-adjusted estimates, including QSRA / Monte Carlo analysis
* Review of construction staging, traffic management and delivery risk impacts
* Engagement with senior client and consultant stakeholders
* Contribution to cost planning, benchmarking and strategic advisory services
About You
* 10+ years' experience in cost engineering or estimating within civil infrastructure
* Strong transport project exposure (roads, bridges, rail interfaces, bus/interchange projects)
* Proven experience with probabilistic risk modelling (P50 / P90)
* Proficient in Expert Estimation, Bluebeam, Primavera P6 and advanced Excel
* Engineering, Construction or Quantity Surveying qualification
