Job Overview:
As a Senior Town Planner – Development Assessment, you will be responsible for leading the assessment of development applications in a regional community.
* Supervise and mentor junior planners
* Assess development applications to ensure compliance with legislation and performance indicators
* Coordinate input from technical teams and external consultants
* Facilitate pre-lodgement meetings and Development Assessment Unit sessions
* Prepare accurate and high-quality planning reports
* Represent the council in legal proceedings
* Contribute to strategic planning projects and policy development
* Promote awareness and engagement with the community on planning issues
