Permanent Position – large Pipeline of projects on the Gold Coast
Position to commence in Jan 2026
An excellent building contractor has a requirement for a Structures Foreman to assist with the management and delivery of top quality, luxury multi-storey apartment located in the heart of Burleigh Heads on the beachfront. The project, currently at excavation stage of a 2 year programme involves the construction of 3 levels of car park and 11 levels of luxury units and is valued at $65M. The company with over 100 permanent staff is Australian owned, with a strong track record of delivering quality apartment projects throughout Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
Responsibilities
* Reading construction plans and drawings
* Management of all structural elements, including concrete pours, formwork, steel fixing, etc.
* Management of company site staff – including Leading Hands and Labourers
* Management of crane towers and logistical issues
* Strong OH&S management and Site safety
* Direction and management of multiple sub-contractors on a busy site
* Regular correspondence with the Site Manager
* Assist with the construction programme ensuring key milestones are delivered on-time and within budget – weekly and monthly programme meetings
Qualifications
* Carpentry or formwork background with progression to supervisory and Site Management positions.
* Track record of delivering multi-level apartment construction projects from $20M - $100M in value for established Australian building contractors/developers.
* Successfully overseen the structures stage of unit projects as a general foreman or structures foreman.
* Strength and passion for structures and unit projects.
* Experience managing an on-site team consisting of Leading Hands and labour.
* Computer literate – emails and Microsoft Office.
